There's a movement afoot to draft Bruce to do a concert during the Republican convention across the river in New Jersey. Bruce made his feelings about Gore's latest speech very public and has posted the text of that speech on his official website. An effort called VoteAid hopes to get Bruce to play a concert at the Meadowlands in New Jersey to voice anti-Bush sentiment while he's being nominated and to raise people's awareness of Bush's lies and deceptions before the election. I'm concerned about security at such an event because it seems like a terrorist magnet, but other than that, I think it's a terrific idea, and it would give me an opportunity to see Bruce again soon rather than having to wait for the next concert tour!
