Now I don't mind I just didn't know that anyone remembered, I was just trying to be nice...sorry No one said you weren't trying to be nice. There isn't a problem, I just didn't want this thread to get diverted. I did move it, and it is now known so that those who want to wish Karen well can, and that is fine. No need to apologize. Jan

We have a few names right here as posted by Jan. Its a good place to start. So we should write one sponsored by our PAC and then do a letter writing campaign? I'm not looking in the right place to find names but perhpas if I go to indiv. state's dem party sites I can find some more names. >>>>>> Erin, looking at this I believe Jan Schakowsky is now pledged for Dean. I'm wondering now, should we just send to unpledged delegates, or to all of them? They can change their minds and are known to do so. So what do you all think? Just send to unpledged, or to all? Also, we know that all Democratic Governors are superdelegates, and so are all members of the house, besides members of the DNC. If we can't find names in party listings, perhaps we can simply go to the govt. pages to look up names of Democratic governors, house mebers, etc. I used to have a link that listed all of them. I will try to find that again to go with the link listed here for all state Democratic parties. Jan

While we are all outraged about 2000, as we should be, I don't want us coming off as Arnie Arnesen tried to depict us yesterday. As merely a group of Gore fanatics who couldn't or wouldn't let go of the past. In any correspondence to these superdelegates, we must stress in any comments regarding 2000 that our group was formed to restore the voice of the American people, and to take our country back from the Bush administration. I don't want us coming off as if we are solely here to get revenge, because that is not the truth. Our group is also concentrating on the here and now and the future. Our comments to these delegates must stress that, and also why we believe Al Gore is that visionary leader of the future. Just sending pictures to these delegates about 2000 may be a turnoff. I believe we need to craft a professional letter that not only stresses that we were formed to bring justice to the American people for the injustices of 2000, but to also work for a prosperous, peaceful, and sustainable future for us and our children. Also, since many states are now looking into HAVA and advocating it, I believe it would also be a great time to comment that we too endorse this legislation. We must use the lessons of 2000 to work for positive change, and show them that we are doing so. fecweb1.fec.gov/hava/hava.htmJust my 2 cents. ;-) Jan

I've just gotta say this in my gushy-wushy state, guys. You have no idea what it's like coming back after being out for a couple of days. I don't mean because of the well-wishing, although that just blows me away, and thanks so much, all of you (and I won't get off-message here, Jan, I promise!). But what's most impressive is how we operate! An idea? Bing! Bang! It's executed. Everybody's looking everything up, calling here, writing there, referring back here. We are awesome, guys, and I'm not sure you can really appreciate it without leaving for a few days and re-entering. Great job, everyone. Hope I'll be up to speed before long so I can get back to helping out. Now, continue on with your discussion . . .

Just an idea. Writing our letter to superdelegates between the Wisconsin primary and the upcoming primary in RI I think would be a good idea since we are not covering as many states due to lack of funds at this time. Please give me feedback about this. Thanks, Jan

Yeah, you know with all that's happened, I've totally forgotten about this effort. Will get back on it if you need my help. Email me.

Yeah, you know with all that's happened, I've totally forgotten about this effort. Will get back on it if you need my help. Email me. No problem, it is understandable. I think the best way to tackle it is to assign certain states to be covered by certain people. That will eliminate duplication of efforts. I'll be in touch. Thank you Jan

www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4147124/ This article explains that 40% of the delegates required for the nomination come from superdelegates. This is definitely then what we need to look to. Also, there is a great picture of Mr. Gore at the beginning of this article. There is no doubt he is the peoples' president. Jan

According to that piece Jan, Al Gore is not only the people's President, he's also a SUPERDELEGATE! What are we to make of that? Anything?
