Fear not, I did not find you defensive ... just stating your points of view and upon reflection your points were well made.
Perhaps, I'm hoping for more than the movie can deliver and that is for people to finally wake up and instead of complaining about the gas prices, they'll realize that's the least of their worries. The gas is not going to be here for every anyway and as long as we depend on it we will be held hostage by our own dependency and its destroying our planet anyway - so hello America, we are the "can do" nation and should be screaming for a little can do alternative.

By the way, restoredemocracy. In case you hadn't noticed, my absolute favorite pasttime is to misquote and put down Al Gore. I am right wing all the way. Yep, a neocon through and through. Whatever made you think I was here for any other reason but to blast him?

Whatever made you think I was here for any other reason but to blast him? Eartmother, you've repeatedly misquoted and then falsely attacked Al Gore at this forum and then you squeal like a stuck pig when I complain about it.. You need to stop this and you need to stop deleting my posts that are pointing out what you've been doing. I fail to undestand why you find it so impossible to accurately quote what Al Gore actually said. WHat is your problem? You abuse of your power to censor my pointing out of your misquoting and then atacking Al Gore is disgustng. This forum is supposed to be for Al Gore supporters. Your constant misquoting and false attacks against Al Gore convice me that you're not an Al Gore supporter.

Please stop fighting. All of us here love Al, but some show it differently. Restore, not everyone is perfect, please cut us a break. Your attitude is always hostile, which needs to change if you are to remain here. So please, everyone use a better tone here.

Hey, Chris! Are you saying I'm not perfect? How could you?

You are too funny, restoredemocracy. Just for the record, I have never deleted even one of your posts. Others have done the job for me because they see how offensive your posts are, and I'm grateful to them for that.
See? If you'd only read what people actually write, you might get the story straight.

Eartmother, you should start by correctly quoting what Al Gore said in th first place. Sorry Chris but I have every right to point out Earthmother's misquotes and false attacks on Al Gore. This is supposed to bea forum for real Al Gore supporters. With the way that real Al Gore supporters are abused and attcked in this forum it's no wonder that the only people left posting in this forum are a couple of right wing nuts and Earthmother who is allowed to routinely misquote and attack Al Gore. I find this offensive and an abuse of Al Gore's good name.

Restoredemocracy--To paraphrase Daniel Patrick Moynihan: You're entitled to your own opinions, but you're not entitled to your own facts. Nowhere have I misquoted anyone. It is you who continually twist my words around and insinuate that I'm a right-wing nutcase. Clearly there's no way to respond to you. So just keep saying it, and saying it, and saying it . . . Someday maybe you'll find something better to do with your time.

And excuse me, restoredemocracy, but I'm really fed up with your false attacks on me. I have reported you to the administrator. Your harassment is grounds for being banned, and I have recommended that Chris take appropriate action against you.

Restoredemocray, consider this your final warning. If you say one more thing to Earthmother about this subject or anything off topic which can be constrewed as negative or harsh, you will be gone.
Earthmother is a huge Gore supporter and everyone knows it. I have gave you too many chances here. What can you not understand about not talking like that? It is that hard to understand what I am saying! Do not call anyone else a Gore hater or anything else. We all know you have the right to say what you want, but in return we have the right to ban you. Just stick to the topics at hand and I will determine who is a Gore basher and who isn't. Got it? Good.

Alfa male sounds like the tobacco companies during the years they lied and denied smoking was hazardous to people's health. For the record, this movie has grossed $86 million in its first 3 days of release. Make sure you renew your membership in the flat earth society Alpha Male. I can't believe that such an obviously anti Gore right wing nut case is allowed to post in a forum for Al Gore supporters.

Sorry Alfa Male but you've got it wrong as usual. "The Day After Tomorrow" ranked #2, just behind "Shrek 2". It's since grossed over $100 million. That's no flop. Once again your comments have all of the accuracy of the tobaco industry when it lied and claimed that cigarette smoking wasn't harmful to people's health. You should be posting at the forum for the flat earth society.

The Day After Tomorrow Never Dies Film plot rings true as NOAA runs up against White House by Amanda Griscom 03 Jun 2004 Even after grapefruit-sized hail and monster tornadoes assault major cities in the Northern Hemisphere in the film The Day After Tomorrow, Jack Hall, a paleoclimatologist from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, still can't get the ballooning crisis of global warming through the thick skull of the vice president. "I think we're on the verge of a major climate shift! You need to start thinking about large-scale evacuations! If we don't act now it's going to be too late!" implores Hall. To which the veep responds coolly, "That is not amusing, professor. Have you lost your mind?" Subtle is not how you'd characterize Roland Emmerich's cinematic portrait of a fierce struggle between warrior scientists from NOAA and the oppressive powers that be -- powers personified by a fictional vice president who happens to be the spitting image of his real-life counterpart. In an amusing case of life imitating art (to use the term loosely), Bush administration officials stalled the release of a website on abrupt climate change, which was developed by a team at NOAA's paleoclimate program to coincide with the release of the film, according to insiders who worked on the project. The site was put together to make years of paleoclimate research on abrupt climate shifts accessible to Day After Tomorrow viewers attempting to make sense of the fact and fiction behind the movie's science (to use another term loosely). "We thought this movie presented an incredible education opportunity to create a public dialogue that would demystify these widely misunderstood problems and showcase some of the things we do here at NOAA to help observe the earth system," said Mark McCaffrey, a NOAA science communications specialist and lead author of the site. www.gristmagazine.com/muck/muck060304.asp

You know.... one has to kinda feel sorry for fools ... who can't see past their own partism. Despite the cancerous divisions created in this country by fantatics that have strong-armed their way into power, this country will heal, the parties will begin to realize that the good of America is about partism and we will again become Americans first.
Pity the fool who does not know he's being fooled.

What's going on? I've been away from the board for a couple of days. A lot of the threads don't make sense--I gather Erin or someone has been deleting a lot of Alfalfa Male's posts? What's he been saying? Is it that bad? Then I don't want to know!
