What a ride. It could be Edwards winning Wisconsin. All exit polls show Edwards ahead. I can't say I'm disappointed should that happen, though I wish it were Gore. I hope they all stay in it until the convention.

Oh well, I just heard Kerry won Wisconsin. That now makes 15 out of 17. Is it fixed? I was sure Edwards had it.

In their rush to crown the party's nominee the Democratic party has lost all site of what it will take to win the general election, where the electorate is split 50/50. The general election will be decided by independents and swing voters, the very people who no longer have their voice represented with the coronation last Tues. night. The writing was on the wall just after WI and was further underlined in these exit polls from super Tues. In their own self absorbed, self promoting arrogance, the Democratic party has just conceded the Presidency to Bush, and we must all now look to the future. Soon it will become quite clear to the rank and file democrats that this election was never about getting rid of Bush, it was to set the stage for the 2008 election. We are all being taken for a ride by the DNC, DLC and the Clinton's, and I for one am fed up with it. My hope is that we as a party will wake up and fight with everything in our being to take our party back and rid our country of the self destructive influence of the Clinton's. Don't get me wrong, I was a huge supporter of Bill Clinton and he has done many good things for our Country, but I think what he has done in the past two years is destructive, selfish, and disingenuous in regard to what is best for our country. I have lost all respect for him since he made his return to the WH through a surrogate his top priority. I believe that he alone is why we are where we are today, with a candidate who has no chance of winning the election ************************************************************************** Hello All, Although we may not agree with whom our country's salvation now lies, I think we all share the same outrage over the coronation of John Kerry. Hope you all are well....Paula

I love this quote from the Morris article.
These articles seem to think Kerry is too liberal to win. I don't see that necessarily as being the problem. The same old "you have to be a centrist to win" theme..

Yeah, I don't know why everyone's saying Kerry's so liberal. I guess it's the old "Massachusetts liberal" thing rearing its ugly little head again. People insist on pigeon-holing. The truth is, Kerry is very much in the center now, and where Gore WAS more centrist in 2000, he's become quite a bit more left since then.
Either way, the Repugs are going to make mincemeat of Kerry, or die trying. I posted on AGDems in response to the Morris article saying go ahead, make mincemeat of Kerry. And if, by the time the convention rolls around, it really looks as if Kerry can't beat Bush, maybe the Democrats will wake up at that point and realize that Gore is still their best chance at winning and throw the nomination to him. That would sure throw the Repugs off the track, wouldn't it?
