Hey, MProfitt! You've been gone far too long! Well, so have I. But it's good to see some of the old people back here again. As for you saying you're going to get slammed for your statement . . .
I'm sure not going to slam you. I agree that Kerry is a weak candidate, and I KNOW we could have done better. Just look at all this support for Gore. Oh, I know, it doesn't amount to a hil of beans in the grand scheme of things, but we know the support is out there for Gore. It's just a crying shame . . .

Stunning, powerful speech yesterday. Mr Gore delivered an emphatic rebuke to the Bush* administration, well-timed, well-delivered, and well-deserved.
Mr Gore, please keep the heat on. When too close to the truth, they will surely melt.

Seeing you and hearing your awesome speech just made me miss you so much more. You are a true American hero (I would use the word "patriot" but that word has now been sullied along with the name of America). You said what many of us feel and we thank you. I just wanted you to know that many still have much respect and love for you and America misses you. Will we ever quit wondering what could have been if you had been the sitting President and not the pResident.

Keep on speaking the truth. If we all keep telling the truth, as you have done so clearly perhaps we will drown out the liesof the Bush Administration. We must have the world know that the barbarians are no longer at the gate, they have gained our White House and that we will fight until they are removed. I feel such as sadness when I think of how things might have been if you had been in the White House on 9/11 instead of GW. I will do all I can, with others to support John Kerry.

Yes it was a great speech and I think Al has learned to utilize his booming voice when displaying intensity. He's an even better speaker now then before.
Al reminds me of our Country when it was started. He is a true patriot. Bush II, the Sequel, reminds me of no such thing. Bush II, the Sequel reminds me of the supposed reasons muslim extremists hate us.
As for Bush II's political power play war, I wonder if the recruiters asked the soldiers risking life and limb, if they would be willing to do so for a future nation of Iraq, and not just do so for the US? They are essentially political pawns in Bush II, the Sequel's private chess game, where his goal was to avenge his fathers' asassination attempt, and where he accomplished that, but now where he is stuck without any evidence whatsoever of an exit strategy or of what the consequences might be (as he was warned by his Secretary of State, Colin Powell, but chose (surprise) to ignore.)
By electing a dummy, we are now in more danger then four years ago - we have fanned the flames of extremist muslim terrorism, we have provided some validity to extremist muslim propaganda, we have scared north korea into making nuclear weapons, we have put the war on terrorism on the back burner, foreign stockholders of american corporations are selling their stocks left and right due to decreased attitudes in the world towards the US and it's i don't give a da** style of leadership, and we have squandered our funds to the point where there will be less money to fight the war on terrorism and less money to fund homeland security.
Republicans are known for being stubborn - and you can see that now more than ever before, as they continue to rationalize and gloss over Bush II, the Sequel's rash decisions.
It is unfortunate John Kerry will have to step into the oval office inheriting Bush II, the Sequel's dam*ed if you do, dam*ed if you don't quagmire.
Sometimes I think Al may have lost for a reason - that reason being that Bush II, the Sequel's doing such a horrible job - might swing the voters to elect a Democratic President for a long time to come.

Al Gore, you are the best. Your speech on May 26 was exactly what we Democrats needed to hear. Thanks for the inspiration.

Mr. Gore needs to read all of these messages of support. This country needs hope and true leadership...Mr. Gore, you know you would have won in a landslide!

Gore is a beautiful and spiritual man....he is the President of our dreams. Peace would have been possible with him as President Kindness, compassion, and justice would flourish There would not be a national debt but a surplus and the world would still have been our friend
