www.allstarz.org/viggo/ Yes, I believe it received four Golden Globe nominations. It was breathtaking. There are some great pics of Viggo Mortensen(Aragorn) on the link above. Enjoy.;-) Jan Thank you for THAT link! I had no idea he wrote poetry too. What's not to love about this man?

As a slight diversion to the political discussion here, LOTR/ Return of the King won four Golden Globe awards, and is nominated for eleven Oscars. I am disappointed however, because none of those nominations are in the acting categories. What were they thinking? Elijah Wood, Sir Ian McKellan, Viggo Mortensen, etc, were all spectacular in this movie. I really am not a big fan of the Oscars anyway, but I at least expected one nomination in the acting category for this awesome movie. Jan

Just a reminder that this movie was nominated for eleven Academy Awards (which is being broadcast this Sunday night), including best picture and director. I will be rooting for it to win, even though I don't usuallly watch this show. I can't see any other movie beating it. It is simply one of the best movies I have ever seen. I highly recommend it.

OK, I have to say it::: CLEAN SWEEP. This movie won every award it was nominated for, and deservedly so. If you haven't seen it yet, do so. It is magnificent, and the message will certainly be instilled in you. Friendship, loyalty, conviction and faith to a cause through whatever odds, facing the darklest times, can bring a new day of hope. I can't think of a more inspiring message for any cause or any time. Congratulations to LOTR! Jan

MMmmmmmm just took a good look at the Viggio photo, mmmmmmmmm, mmmm May be old, but I ain't dead yet. grrrrr Oh yeah, what I came in here for, was to make a comment on this year's academy awards. Did you happen to catch the subliminals.......I was quite surprised actually, more than a few times. Maybe there are more actors/writers out there that agree with the outspoken ones than we realize. I found it interesting that they replayed M Moore's "ficticious war" comment over that clip, very clever way to put it out there again. There were several comments made and sang by Billy Crystal that actually had those kinds of similar messages. Yeah, we have to grab those opportunities where we can with media bias and now millions of dollars worth of propaganda heading our way. Going to be a shredding of the poor democratic candidates with very little chance for rebuttal. Let's all get as ready as we can. Get that list of the Gore/Clinton admin's accomplishments copied and ready to email and hand out wherever opportunities arise.

I'm still waiting for it on video. For our collection. My daughter loves the series and (as she's 11) it'd be hard reading for her.
