While watching the McLaughlin Group today, I thought I heard Eleanor Clift say that John Kerry is now the President of Democratic Americans. Say what? What are these people smoking? Then, on Meet The Press, all they did was talk about the campaign between Bush and Kerry and how many days to the election, (Kerry, Kerry, Kerry) totally dissing the fact that the primary season is not over yet. Don't tell me the Democratic Party and the Media have not corronated Kerry already. I personally believe the Democratic party is making a BIG mistake by annointing Kerry this early. They have given the Republicans just the target they wanted, and by the tiime the election rolls around, people will be in KERRY FATIGUE. How does that excite the base of this party? How does that bring out people to vote FOR anything? I won't be voting FOR Kerry, I will be voting AGAINST Bush. There is a difference to me. We will then see a BORING Democratic Convention that won't even be worth watching, only to watch the real President give a speech. Which I hope he will be doing. That is, unless Americans start researching all their options and realizing that they don't have to settle for John Kerry when there is already a man they could demand at that convention to be their President, who is far and away the better choice for our nation now. I still intend to vote in my primary in June, and I am writing in Al Gore's name. There is no way in these primaries that I am allowing ANY PARTY to shut me up! Jan

Say what is right! Have they forgotten? I do not understand this. John Kerry is no one to me right now. I am looking to see if this Eleanor Clift has an email address or something so I can clue her in on WHO THE REAL PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IS..AND NOT JUST THE PRESIDENT OF DEMOCRATIC AMERICANS.

Dear Eleanor Clift, On the McLaughlin Group show, You were heard saying that John Kerry is now the President of Democratic Americans. I beg to differ with you. Al Gore is the actual President of the United States and the President of Democratic Americans. He was not allowed to take office in 2000 due to the Supreme Court decision that was grossly partisan and unfair. Now you say that John Kerry is new President of Democratic America. What did Al Gore do to people in the press that he is dismissed so? He has made the most powerful policy speeches of anyone in or out of politics over the last year...certainly better than those of John Kerry. Yet, all the press can do is ridicule him on how cold it was when he made his speech on the environment, which, by the way, was not even covered by Newsweek or any mainstream media.
I know all of this isn't your fault, Mrs. Clift but this country will never be on the right path again until we acknowledge the mistakes of 2000 and the disaster of the Bush Administration. Acknowledging that Gore is the rightful President of Democratic America is at least a step in the right direction.
Thank You, Mrs. Erin Bidleman, Treasurer Patriots for Gore, PAC

Acknowledging that Gore is the rightful President of Democratic America is at least a step in the right direction. Thank You, Mrs. Erin Bidleman, Treasurer Patriots for Gore, PAC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Thank you, Erin. I wrote her too: Ms.Clift, Did I hear you correctly on the McLaughlin Group show dated 3/7/04, when you stated that John Kerry is now the President of Democratic Americans? I hope I heard you wrong or misinterpreted your meaning, because he certainly is not this Democrat's President. Al Gore has been my President since 2000, and that isn't going to change no matter how much the media pundits and the Democratic Party hype this corronation of Senator Kerry. As an American who is not a pundit and who does not have to say things to appeal to a certain demographic I will say this: There is no doubt that Al Gore won the popular vote in 2000, and because of the legislative treachery of the Florida legislature under the direction of Jeb Bush, he won the electoral vote as well. Do you not remember the events surrounding why the Black Caucus walked out of the Congressional chambers the day the electoral votes were left to Al Gore to count alone, with no backing from John Kerry or any other Democratic representative in the Congress? Ms. Clift, there was a grave injustice done to the electorate, the voice, and the votes of the American people, that to this day has not been rectified. I would really like to know why the media continues to shove that under the rug while they shove John Kerry down our throats. Now granted, I believe that it is imperative that Bush be defeated this November for the future of this country, and I will do my part to see that happen. However, I am not one of the "ABB" crowd who believes we should also sacrifice our future on a whim. This country is too important to me, and I see the ABB mantra as a disservice to the American people who will grow more complacent, lazy, and remiss regarding Democracy, and in truly checking out the record and facts behind all those who seek the position of the leader of the free world. Al Gore has also been giving some of the most empassioned, sincere, heartfelt and truthful speeches of our time on every topic from civil liberties to climate change, yet the media also chooses to ignore that. I am writing to you to tell you that not only is Al Gore the President the people voted for in 2000, he is my President, and his vision, intelligence, leadership, and experience are what this country needs now. This country will never be able to go into the future until its people rectify the mistakes of the past. Relegating the theft of our Democratic process to obscurity simply for political expedience will not serve our children well, and it has already changed the course of history. I surely hope if that was the comment I heard you make, that you seek to rectify it. It would be appreciated by those of us who while Democrats, are Americans first, and know who really holds the title you attributed to Senator Kerry who has done nothing to deserve it. Sincerely, Jan Moore, Chair, Patriots For Gore PAC
