Vigilante I'm glad you joined us! I was just on your site and a posted a post but it got deleted before it saved. Will go back and post later. You'll find a lot of Gore info here.
We fought to the very end to try to get Gore in the race. After the he endorsed Dean...we kept on even after draftgore folded. Myself, Jan, and several others formed a PAC and paid for radio ads and mailed postcards to NH to try to convince voters there to write him in so it would send him and the nation a message but our success was not too good. Now I just don't see much hope for getting him in..we were going for the brokered convention scenario but now that Kerry has it locked up that is out. What we are doing now is writing letters to the Superdelegates asking them to vote for Gore at the convention as they can vote for anyone they want on the first ballot. We are hoping at least some of them will heed the call in honor of our duly elected President. It won't get him the nomination for sure but...here's hoping he makes a great speech and everyone will know what we have missed.

Thanks for the welcome, Erin. I appreciate every Gore-Head poster on my site. One of my posters was ruminating to the effect if Kerry had hit a tree instead of a secret service agent, it would require Al Gore to unify the party. Al would be re-nominated, and re-elected -- and this time -- inaugarated president. But I discourage such streams of wishful thinking. 2000 proved that elections are not won with nuances, but with blunt instruments. And that is what Kerry is. I just wish he was as likeable, focussed and eloquent as Big Al.
