Oh and one more thing, jog my memory about that kiss, what kiss? Julia - I know you remember it: Al walked out to give his convention speech in 2000 to absolutely thunderous applause. Without warning, and apparently unbeknownst (Is that a word?) to everyone, including Tipper, he grabbed her suddenly, tilted her backwards until her back must have been breaking, and laid the biggest lip-lock in history on her. It seemed like it went on forever and ever. I do believe I even saw her tows curling inside her shoes. That was sure one hell of a way to get the media's attention, they could talk about nothing else BUT the "kiss" until you-know-what happened in Florida. I'll bet if Kerry tried to do that to Ms. Heinz, she'd probably dry right up, and catsup would start spurting from her pores... Get it? Heinz - Catsup - Get it? Thom

Julia! How could you forget that? It was so funny, it actually embarrassed me and I turned the channel really quickly and when I turned the channel back, they were still at it! Oh Son-of-LIberty! I love this scenario. You know Gore could do it too, but would he have enough time to get on the ballots for the general election by the time the convention rolls around? I can't wait until the 18th to find out what these two are cooking up.

OOOOOooooooooh THAT kiss..... just a little mentalpause goin on I bet. Yeah, if we ever need to be perfectly clear about which ideal moment (many moments?) we'd like to see again, we could always say, Remember the Kiss! Joined at the heart, President and First Lady Gore.

If I can interrupt you ladies and your talk about "the kiss" (ugh, what a kiss it was), I wanted to address the comment about Gore standing up and saying he's going to represent the liberal wing of the Dem. Party. Sadly, it's not gonna happen. I've thought about this scenario a lot, and there's just no way I can see him further splintering the party. As much as there's a need for someone to represent those of us to the left of Kerry, at this point in the race, there's no way I can see him doing anything that would divide us. First of all, I believe that in his heart he wants us united so we can oust Bush, but besides that, I think he knows it would look awful from a political standpoint. I don't know what Dean's cooking up to reveal on the 18th, but it almost has to be something that will keep the party united. I don't think he'll actually be asking people to get behind Kerry--not yet, anyway--but I doubt he'll do anything to weaken the all important "base," and I doubt that Gore would, either, unfortunately.

It is Al Gore's House. History itself calls for vindication. A rematch with the shrub from the cabbage patch in Crawford. Who can convince my readers that a plausible plan exists that a Draft-Gore movement should be taken seriously? If there's some one out there who has a concrete plan for a Draft-Gore movement, please post it on my website. I am a irreconcilable Gore-Head who wants to see a plan. He is the man. The question is, is this his time?

Where have you been all our lives, vigilante? So glad you found us! We are still working, although there are fewer and fewer of us. We need to keep hope alive. Maybe with some new blood in the movement, we'll gain more strength. Welcome.

Well then, what you speak is true it does belong to the American people, so can we assume you were equally appauled in 2000 by the well paid bused in Republicans who planted themselves outside another of those homes owned by the American people, the Vice President's house, well equiped by their benefactors with mega phones, signs and talking points, screaming through the day and night ... Shall we assume that you too were appauled at their outrageous and fanatic behavior and spoke out against it.

Just to clear things up here a bit.........poor mproffitt was replying to a nitwit comment that got zapped into the hyperspace where it came from (intelligence is highly prized and preserved as much as possible in this site). So, may I take this moment to scream out at the top of my lungs referring to the White House in Washington D.C. in the land we used to know as America: "IT'S AL GORE'S HOUSE!!!!" oooooooh I wish I could scream louder..... "IT's AL GORE'S HOUSE!" Alright, all together now........... in unison..... "IT'S AL GORE'S HOUSE!!!!!"
