Ever since the Bush Admin has brainwashed the public about Iraq, it seems to have stuck despite conflicting info:
"Do you think Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq was DIRECTLY involved in planning, financing, or carrying out the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, or not?"
Was Was Not Don't Know 49% 39% %12
&
"Do you think Iraq actually had banned chemical or biological weapons right before the Iraq War started in March, or not?"
Yes No Don't Know 55% 32% 13%
God, how stupid is this nation? I am totally embarassed!

Makes you wonder if the people can "connect the dots" when it comes to Bush??

Slowly, very slowly, they're beginning to connect the dots with Bush. But I remember seeing a statistic last fall that showed some overwhelming percentage of Americans believing that Saddam was responsible for 9/11. It does make you ashamed to be an American. People in this country don't think for themselves, don't bother to get past what they hear on the evening news, if they even listen to that. I also remember reading in Newsweek's cover story about Jon Stewart (whom I love, btw), that some staggering percentage of young people get their news ONLY from the Daily Show. Can you imagine? Now, if you're going to have a "news" show with a slant, it's this kind of slant I'd want, but clearly this is no place for people to be getting their news from.
Let's face it. The average American is too shallow, too busy and too anti-intellectual to do any serious thinking about the issues.
And hence, why we have an idiot in the White House.

i think the question is not "where are the WMD?"
but - "where *ARE* the WMD?"
it seems to me this is the story missing from the newspapers.
i think if saddam wanted to "get us" - he'd do so slyly by giving his WMD to someone else and let them do the dirty work. al queda perhaps? perhaps....
i don't think he had anything to do with 9/11. al queda is smarter than he is. but - any thug could smuggle weapons out of his own country under the cover of darkness.
