Did anyone see the sickening display today when they unveiled the official portraits of Bill and Hillary Clinton? Bush said the Clinton White House was a place of joy and energy. Clinton said some nice things about Bush. Hey, guys--you mean it's okay to be nice to each other, to say that there might actually be some mutual respect? Well, I don't buy it for a second. We all know how Bush feels about the Clintons, and I don't think it's any secret that Clinton has little but disdain for the current residents of the White House. So, pomp and circumstance win out. It was a nauseating, but I suppose necessary, display. And then they had to eat lunch together!

I still say he should have resigned and let Gore take over....move over, Bill!

They said Clinton didn't act too happy when his was unveiled. I saw it, but I thought it was ok.

My reading of his "unhappiness" was having to be in that room with Bush and having to say nice things about him when he didn't really mean them. I think it was an awkward event for all involved because there's so much acrimony between the parties now.
