Hey guys. I have been away for a while and for good reason that I wont dicuss for now. But anyways, dad and I went up to MTSU again today to see Al speak. The speech was on race. He explained how racism occurs and what is the root of racism. Then he went on to explain how we can try to end racism. He also fielded questions from audience members. I asked 2. I first asked him how can one explain how affirmitive action is different from quotas. The other was how the Bush Admin was using speacial treatment towards Jessica Lynch and not towards POW Sasawana Johnson. Then afterwards, I got to go speak with him personally. The great thing about it, I asked him if he remembered me and he told me he did and called me by my name. Then we posed for pics and we chatted a while. Here is some of the pictures:
TODAY:
Me with Al shaking hands. Al actually wanted to take a picture like this. I asked if I could get a pic with him and he said sure and he got my hand and we shook hands and took a great picture. I guess that is a professional way to pose for a picture in politics.
Al & I talking. I asked him if he remembered me and he said yes and then called me by my name, so that was awesome. I was telling him that I wanted to go into government and that I thought of him as a mentor. He was so happy. I mean he was so sincere.
2 WEEKS AGO:
Al and I pose for a picture. This picture came from Rodney Crumpton, a friend at MTSU. My pictures didnt come out, but Rodney actually took some from the side, so that was great.
Al and I discuss different things such as media bias. I also told him I was from GSC and he was pleasantly suprised!
Thanks Mr. President, you are a true friend!
