I swear nothing compares to to the impact of him in person. For the first five minutes, I was in total pain, sheer pain....fighting back tears. It is so hard to see him AND KNOW WHAT SHOULD BE!!!! I fought tears and INTENSE emotion, and it absolutely hurts, the reality standing in front of you is KILLER!!! He's OUR PRESIDENT and that debacle robbed us of too much! How many lives would not have been lost, had that 1 Supreme Court judge not voted against him, it was 5-4--- 1 lousy vote, I DO NOT KNOW HOW GORE HAS SURVIVED THIS...... I WANT JUSTICE LIKE NEVER BEFORE How can we NOT get him back!!!!!! Once he started talking, I was ok. I was 3 rows in front of him, about 10 ft away...and by God....at the end of his speech, I would not settle for a handshake. I hugged him....heart to heart with the President we have GOT to get back! I can not possibly come close to describing in here all that happened in that room. Except to try. At first we were there so early that I got to pick my seat and lots of time went on with just a few people in there, like 25, but then we found out that the doors had been closed holding them out. When the doors opened it was like a floodgate. The gym filled to capacity with people standing in the back. They knew Dean wasn't going to be there. Like me, they came to hear what Al Gore had to say. At first, before I heard audience reactions throughout and all around me, I thought they were all Deanies and I was jealous. And then I started to realize that yes there were alot of Deanies, but the majority are careful voters who are still very cautious about deciding. Iowans take their job very seriously. They know their votes are pivotal to the whole thing and they don't place their votes lightly. They know Al, and they, like me, were there to hear him first hand and sense the SPIRIT of what he projects. I can say a whole lot and I will. I've got alot to talk about. It's going to have to be in pieces and continued tomorrow as I'm exhausted and will have to stop soon. JUSTICE! >:
