We Democrats must learn to look to this and read between the lines. The strategy of the Dems has been interesting.. Keep the players in for as long as they wish, adhere to more of a base. Throw the media and Republicans off track with conflicting messages of who's dropping out and who will remain. Who is supported and who should call it quits etc etc
A challenger with 200 million in the bank will tend to get ancy if he is not sure who to attack and influence the voters respectively. RATHER INEFFECTIVE AND INEFFICIENT and the Dems are playing their game!
No mention of 2000 has brought serious light yet. Do you honestly think everyone is over it? No I think that is yet another battle cry when it counts most, just before the election (not 6 mos away) it loses its sizzle in the media world and patience of the Republcans etc etc if it became forefront issue now.
Our leader elect (Gore) hands down should & I would argue has the support of the DNC, however its more than meets our eye. Remember we the American people have been subject to very controlled flow of information, lack of journalists integrity and an administration that has been proven to be the most secretive ever.
When we are playing a game with less resources, less influence (by meda and political power), one must begin to strategize and learn the name of the game. We play it and we keep them all guessing.
Let them wonder, the more they think the more they corrupt. The more influence they are given, the more abuse they create. The more they ride on our strategy at what "meets the eye" is exactly when we pull and win the game, something they'd never expect... You do the wondering and the messages we have been given.
What strategy would be playing it smart?
