If you are serious and want President Al Gore to run in 2004 get off your duff and write to him. Snail Mail: Office of the Honorable Al Gore 2100 West End Avenue, Suite 620 Nashville, TN 37203 Let him know your reasons, your fears, your anger. Tell him how hard you will work to see him elected. Let him know that we, THE AMERICAN PUBLIC, need him to run. To lead this country back to what it should be, a place where each person has a voice. This is what I sent: Dear Mr. Al Gore, I hope this letter find you and your family healthy and happy. How can I express to you our great desire that you would take up the race for President of the United States just one more time. We all voted for you in the last election and would again if only you would run. If ever there was a time when your country could use your leadership it is now. Please, I don't think I can stand another four years under this presidency of deceit and power. I feel that I have no voice, no vote, and no champion for my beliefs. If only you will run, I will personally campaign for you. I will knock on doors, attend meetings, call voters, stand on the street corner and wave a sign….anything to get you elected. No, I am not crazy. I am desperate for the feeling that I live in a nation where the People count not the money, not the corporations, not the silent power mongers. Give us back our nation Mr. Al Gore Be our President .

Girlsonafarm, Welcome and we have been doing just what you've been saying for months now. We are hanging onto the slim hope that there will be a brokered convention in July and we will be able to "draft" him then. We are writing to super delegates now. If you'd like to help, send me a personal message on this forum. Just click on my name and click on where it says send this member a personal message. We really need him to run and we need support. Whoah, girlsonafarm! I can't believe you're here! I was just writing to you again over at AGDems to try to get you to come on over here. Welcome, welcome, welcome We're so happy to have you with us. I've been writing some real hell-fire stuff over at AGDems today. Just moved somehow--well, having to do with a dream I had last night. Got me all fired up! I love your letter to Al, and I hope you won't stop there. We're doing a lot of work here to get Gore nominated, and I hope you'll help with that. Our main task right now is writing to the 725 superdelegates. Please read through the forum and become familiar with who we are and what we're doing, and when you're ready to help out, just say the word. We will embrace you within our collective arms and guide you through whatever you need to know. I don't mean to sound weird, but Gore lives here. I can feel it. We all hold him and his spirit within us. The momentum is building. The Deanies are coming back into the fold. Others are becoming disenchanted with the Dem. choices. Still others are feeling the anger of 2000 again. We must tap all that huge reservoir of support for Gore and turn it into something positive. Together, we can do it.

Great chatting with you guys last night! I have some good news. Persistence has paid off on the Dean blog. Finally, someone responded, and hopefully, a discussion will ensue. Here is my comment followed by the response: If Dean does not re-enter the race, we should all forget about Kerry or Edwards, and consider the real possibility of getting Al Gore to swoop in and lead the dems back to the white house (with Dean as VP!) Posted by Patrick from NYC at February 24, 2004 09:28 AM ******************************************* Best idea I've seen in awhile!!! Posted by nancy in mpls at February 24, 2004 09:30 AM So, to my point from last night, people are not looking at Gore as a possibility. If we persist in getting the word out about Gore, it will spread to the media, and then to Gore's lap for a comment and/or decision. Can a handful of people start such a movement? Why not?

Starting to build momentum! Here are some comments:
"Gore/Dean would be a total hoot and revenge on so many levels that it would satisfy this Sicilian for decades."
"Gore to Kerry: "Did you just ask me about my electability over George W. Bush?"
"I think Gore entering the race would be great!!!"

Is there an e-mail address available to write to Mr. Gore to let him know that he is our candidate?
I believed him when he said he wasn't running, and gave my support to Governor Dean, who I admire a great deal. I don't want to accept that the governor is out of the race, but it seems as though even the most dedicated Deaniacs feel that his candidacy was sabotaged. I plan to vote for him on March 2nd in New York, but I don't know realistically how many of his supporters will follow suit. I never gave up on the Vice President's first win and have never accepted the pretender-in-chief who now inhabitats the White House. Mr. Gore has great credentials and has shown great courage these last months. A Gore-Dean ticket would be my dream, a notion I believe most Democrats would be thrilled to endorse and vote for. It is balanced regionally and in terms of background and experience. They seem to really respect and like each other. I for one will never vote for Kerry, who I feel is a dour elitist who voted for all of Bush's initiatives, including this dreadful war. How can we get this going?

It is great to see an effort to get Al Gore back into this thing. He remains the only pperson who can attack Bush with credibility and has true compassion for those who need help in our nation. Unfortunately, I am not sure how much success we may have, considering the success of Sen. Kerry so far. The only way to slow Kerry now is to vote for Edwards and attempt to tie up the convention and get enough of the superdelegates to force a draft movement for Gore. At that point, Hillary would also be in the picture and a problem. I generally have a favorable opinion of Kerry, and of Edwards for that matter, but worry about Kerry and his Yale and Skull and Bones background. (Too much like W in this stuff and if half of what I have read about the S&B is true, then that will be a major problem.) I certainly hope and pray that somehow Al Gore can get this nomination and defeat Dubya. We need the real, elected President to take office and clear this mess caused by these fools.

Alrighty then.....girlsonafarm.......Patrick......and peacenow........its time to start kickin up some dust, get out them pots and pans and start bangin on them!!!!!!! Let's make some noise!!!!!!!!!"Time to wake up America"...BANG! BANG! BANG!!!! First thing you can do is, go to the index, under General Gore Talk, first thread is Al Gore on Issues, 2nd is Achievements of Gore/Clinton administration. Read, then copy them and print them out! Then email them to everyone you know that would be interested in learning what he stands for. Make lots of copies to hand out and keep a stash in your car. Time to maybe buy a bumper sticker or two that say something like "Re-elect Gore 2004". Time to spread all information you can get your hands on to expose the TRUTH! How about a picture of Gore and george in there somewhere? and tickle their minds with thoughts of those two in a debate! Should get them thinkin for awhile. That's a good place to start. And I'm just havin fun being a western girl that likes to have fun with western stuff and horsin around! Just ignore that part if it's not your style. Julia from Colorado

THE NEXT TIME SOMEONE RESPONDS TO YOU WITH "BUT HE ISN'T RUNNING" SAY THIS: "oh yeah, then why has he been acting just like the real President this whole time since 2000? When they go "huh, what are u talkin about?" You send them here to read even just the front home page. When they see how flippin active he's been and what he's been saying and doing......you can say "He's just been being President outside the confused messed up political system. See...........see all the talking he's been doing all that time. See how he's been trying to reach Americans. See how he's been working for us, and for nearly free; a ton less than we pay george and company for their excavation "work". See if that doesn't get the conversation going alittle.

I saved every one of the New York Times super headlines from 2000 . Nothing can get a person riled up more than those! There are also several films that have been released that so clearly show the coup that took place. Films about the recount, the chads...It can make you ill, but also drive you to action.
Yes, we are still mad about Florida! How can anyone who cares about our country not be? Yes, Mr. Gore has been accepted as the rightfully elected president of the United States by any rational standard. Yes, there was a coup and what amounts to a criminal organization has seized our government and is using it to promote personal agendas that have implications well beyond its term in office. Yes, if we stay focused, we can do something about it. If we don't, we are quite doomed by the damage they have already done and will continue to do to our environment, to education, to our reputation around the world, to our economy, to our rights as citizens.

Let's talk in a private msg peacenik, I mean peacenow17. Want to see if we can maybe pool our information resources for films and articles. I'd like to see the newspaper articles you mentioned. I've seen one film on the voting fraud that Greg Palast, the investigative reporter from the UK had major input into when it was shown on freespeechtv a long time ago. Is that the one you have? I also have 3 of Gore's speeches recorded, and wonder if we can assimilate more. Since the mainstream media won't provide true free speech, maybe we should be trying harder to get these made available to the public. Any ideas on this?

I do not know of an e-mail address for him, but the address to his Nashville office was posted in this thread, so if you wish to write him a letter feel free. Being a supporter of Mr. Gore 's that has never wavered, even when he said he wasn't running and then endorsed Dean, I can empathize with your feelings. We must join together then and let him know that we are here for him and for this country to work hard to bring it back to the people. Al Gore ran on that platform in 2000 and he has never wavered from that course. His speeches these past three years have been nothing short of superlative, and in tune with the timely issues that challenge us on so many levels. It is inconceivable to think that we cannot bring to him that which he deserves, and that which we deserve. A leader that inspires us and cares. I agree about your assessment of Kerry as well, and really believe we have to work for this scenario. I will vote for Kerry if he gets the nomination, but if there is still any hope at all of Mr. Gore somehow coming into this, there is no question the road I am on. Again, thank you for your post, and welcome. Jan
